Are the New Airport Scanners Safe? If you haven't seen the new screening machines that are popping up at U.S. airports, chances are you will soon. The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is replacing most metal detectors with imaging devices that reveal items hidden underneath passengers' clothing. But some experts worry that the new machines could expose travelers to health risks. And there are obvious concerns about privacy issues, too.
There are actually two types of scanners, both of which require you to step into a booth and raise your arms. Millimeter wave machines use electromagnetic waves to create an image of the body, while the more controversial backscatter devices beam low-energy X-rays to produce a picture. The government says the radiation emitted from those devices is minimal, equal to the natural exposure during 2 minutes of flying, though some research suggests it's higher.
Because the backscatter machines use low-energy X-rays, most of the radiation is absorbed by the skin and doesn't penetrate the body, as medical X-rays do. But some experts think that could raise the risk of skin cancer or sperm mutations, especially in frequent flyers...

Estrogen Curbs Appetite In Same Way As The Hormone Leptin Estrogen regulates the brain's energy metabolism in the same way as the hormone leptin, leading the way to a viable approach to tackling obesity in people resistant to leptin, researchers at Yale School of Medicine report in the December 31 online issue of Nature Medicine.
"We found that estrogen suppresses appetite using the same pathways in the brain as the adipose hormone leptin," said lead author Tamas L. Horvath, chair and professor of Comparative Medicine and professor in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Sciences at Yale School of Medicine.
Horvath and his team studied the regulation of obesity in mice with mutations in leptin or estrogen signaling. They analyzed the effect of estrogen on the ability of nerve cells to make new connections in the hypothalamus. They also measured the associated feeding behavior and energy expenditure of the animals...
Scientists Discover How Estrogen Works and Flip Its Switch to Reap Benefits Without Risks Estrogen is an elixir for the brain, sharpening mental performance in humans and animals and showing promise as a treatment for disorders of the brain such as Alzheimer's disease and schizophrenia. But long-term estrogen therapy, once prescribed routinely for menopausal women, now is quite controversial because of research showing it increases the risk of cancer, heart disease and stroke.
Northwestern Medicine researchers have discovered how to reap the benefits of estrogen without the risk. Using a special compound, they flipped a switch that mimics the effect of estrogen on cortical brain cells. The scientists also found how estrogen physically works in brain cells to boost mental performance, which had not been known.
When scientists flipped the switch, technically known as activating an estrogen receptor, they witnessed a dramatic increase in the number of connections between brains cells, or neurons. Those connections, called dendritic spines, are tiny bridges that enable the brain cells to talk to each other...
15 Dangerous Drugs Big Pharma Shoves Down Our Throats In the pharmaceutical industry's rush to get drugs to market, safety usually comes last. And the public suffers.
In the pharmaceutical industry's rush to get drugs to market, safety usually comes last. Long studies to truly assess a drug's risks just delay profits after all -- and if problems do emerge after medication hits the market, settlements are usually less than profits. Remember, Vioxx still made money.
The following drugs are so plagued with safety problems, it is a wonder they're on the market at all. It's a testament to Big Pharma's greed and our poor regulatory processes that they are...

Wiley Protocol For Your Face - Lipogenerative Crème™ can turn back the clock…
Remember the full face of youth? That plump fullness meant smooth, glowing skin, that reflected the light and was velvety to the touch. What if you could rebuild beauty from your hormones up and recover that? The Wiley Protocol for Your Face is a crème that can provide this option by replenishing the fat base just below the skin which plumps up and smooth's the crepe-y fine lines that make us look old. As you age, you lose collagen in lock-step with diminishing levels of estrogen. Since there are estrogen receptors everywhere in your body, especially in the skin. Dermatologists have long noted that systemic hormone therapy seems to improve the appearance of aging skin all by itself. Studies have shown that estrogen, when applied in a cream can penetrate the skin because of its small molecular size. Estrogen is documented to increase the production of collagen, giving skin thickness and resiliency . This crème is non-greasy and absorbs quickly.

I got my life back! with zero hormones after a hyst, and 10 years of conventional HRT - I had to come off the them because of a cancer scare. I had absolutely no energy, and no life for 3 years. Wiley Protocol Experts Answer Your Question :

Q: Isn't progesterone toxic?
|
A: No, or pregnant women would be deader than fertile young women. So unless one uses the whole syringe at each dose this is not possible. The fear-mongering rumor coming from a group of women on the internet, who truly believed that they were harmed by natural progesterone and may have, indeed, felt horrible, (much as women report that they do on synthetic Provera®) is not accurate. Those women were not on the Wiley Protocol at the time and were taking the hormones that they were taking in olive oil drops. Heavy hormones sediment in oil, so that they over-dosed themselves on Day 14-21 by drawing an inaccurate dose from the bottom of the bottle, promoting nausea, hair loss, headaches and maybe even kidney problems. Such a situation is not possible with the Wiley Protocol, because the progesterone is thoroughly blended and suspended in cream base and tested to prove that there is 20 mg of natural progesterone in ever small line on a purple plungered syringe.

Lights Out
This fascinating, thought-provoking study discusses the central role of sleep in our lives. After probing the scientific literature, T.S. Wiley and Formby, researchers at the Sansum Medical Research Institute, conclude that, "the disastrous slide in the health of the American people corresponds to the increase in light-generating night activities and the carbohydrate consumption that follows.

F.Y.I... We have been told that there are many pharmacies around the country claiming to make the Wiley Protocol. Unless your hormones come in our color coded packaging (green and purple for women, blue and burgundy for men), it says Wiley all over and the pharmacy has our sign in their window, they have not registered with us to make the authentic Wiley Protocol. You would be getting a generic product that will not stand up to federal scrutiny for scientific study. Please make sure your provider abides by our trademarks and sends your prescription to a Wiley Registered Pharmacy.
